Sense of Community
What sets Berkhampstead apart is the strength of its relationships. Pupils feel seen, heard and supported – and this strong foundation helps them to grow into confident, compassionate individuals who are ready to make a difference.
A Connected and Caring School
Kindness is woven into daily life at Berkhampstead. It is celebrated in assemblies, recognised in classrooms, and honoured each half term with our coveted Kindness Cups – awarded to pupils who show empathy, thoughtfulness and compassion.
Pupil voice is also highly valued. Through our School Council, representatives from across the school share ideas and opinions, helping to shape the decisions that affect their day-to-day life and strengthen our community.
That strong sense of community extends far beyond the classroom. Pupils regularly support both local and global causes through charity initiatives and themed fundraising days, developing a keen awareness of the wider world.
We enjoy coming together as a whole school to mark special moments throughout the year – including our Spring Concerts, Harvest Festival, and Easter and Christmas services.
Our vibrant PTA plays a vital role in bringing families together. From the Summer Festival and Festive Friday to quiz nights and parent socials, their events are highlights of the school calendar and help to create lasting connections between children, parents and staff.
Berkhampstead is a school where children are happy, relationships flourish, and community spirit runs deep.
